Grade 11 Introduction to Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology

What is evolutionary anthropology, why is it important to study?  Different topics of study within the field (primatology, osteology, archaeology).   What is evolution and why it is important to understand, Darwin came up with the theory . Important evolutionary anthropologist (Louis Leaky, Jane Goodall, Diane Fossey and Burite Galdikas).  Some of the major early hominid fossil findings (Lucy, Homo habilis, Homo erectus and neanderthals) and use our skull collection to show their important morphological features.  Newest findings in the field of Homo naledi fossils.

Anthropology: Theories, Perspectives, and Methodologies: demonstrate an understanding of major theories, perspectives, and research methods in anthropology. Explaining Human Behaviour:   use an anthropological perspective to explain how diverse factors influence and shape human behaviour.  Explain the significance of contributions of influential anthropologists. Explain significant issues in different areas of anthropology. Explain the main research methods used for conducting anthropological research.
